Here at Kids Disc Golf we get excited and are passionate about youth disc golf competition! This means that when the 2017 PDGA World Championships for both Amateurs and Juniors took place a few weeks ago, in July, that we were eagerly watching to see what would happen between all the kids competing for a world title! We have been following all the talent leading up to Worlds and expected to see some good competition. We did!

Kolby Sanchez of New Mexico took down the win in the PDGA Division, MJ4 (10 and younger). He did it in a convincing manner, winning by 18 strokes. In the final nine holes alone He shot a minimum of seven strokes better than his competition! (Check out his results here) If you follow Kids Disc Golf on Instagram or Facebook you've probably seen us post a few videos of Kolby throwing. If you want to learn a thing or two about form, be sure to find one of his videos!

We were able to catch up with Kolby right after he won the world title. We asked him some questions that will hopefully give you a little bit of insight into who he is. While we were conversing, before the interview started, we heard a bunch of "Yes Sir's". This kid is the real deal! We don't want to give it all away, BUT he only started playing disc golf last year! Check out the full interview below!
